Armenia among the most popular destinations for Russians for the May holidays

Yerevan has become one of the most popular cities for foreign trips for the May holidays among Russians, according to a study by Yandex Travel, cited by TASS.
Other popular destinations include Istanbul, Antalya, Tashkent and Baku. Excluding neighboring countries, the top destinations are Dubai, Dalaman and Tel Aviv.
Turkey, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, and China are the most popular travel destinations for Russians during the May holidays, according to the study.
And yet, the majority of users of the service - about 80% will spend their holidays in Russia. Among Russian cities, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Sochi, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl, Gelendzhik, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg are leading in popularity.
There is a mutual visa-free regime between Russia and Armenia. To visit this country, citizens of the Russian Federation will only need a valid passport, and you can fly in with an internal Russian passport.
