Oshakan (3783 v), is most famous as the last resting place of Mesrop Mashtots, (d 442) founder of the Armenian alphabet. Above his grave (19th c. gravestone) is a church rebuilt by Katholikos George IV in 1875.
Karmravor Church is one of the most charming churches of Armenia. It is located in not too far from the town of Ashtarak, Aragatsotn region. The construction of the church took place in the 7th century and was initiated by priests Manas and Gregory.
Saghmosavank ("monastery of the Psalms") is a 13th-century Armenian monastic complex located in the village of Saghmosavan in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia.
