The state of emergency in Armenia introduced due to the situation with the coronavirus can be extended

The country's authorities are urging citizens to strictly observe security measures to reduce the spread of infection. The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Armenia increased to 14,103, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports on Wednesday.

For comparison, we note that, as of June 9, the country had 13 675 confirmed cases of infection. Thus, over the past day 428 new cases of infection were detected.

227 people died from complications of coronavirus (plus 10 over the past day). The number of patients with coronavirus who died for other reasons is 77 (plus 3 cases over the past day).

The number of people cured of the infection is 5226. 8573 people are under treatment. The total number of tests performed is 73,156.

Recall, from March 16, the state of emergency operates in Armenia, which is extended until June 13. Since May 18, public transport has been launched in the republic. Shopping centers and malls were also opened, the ban on the operation of public catering facilities, which until then were allowed to work only outdoors, was completely lifted. Since June 4, the rule of mandatory wearing of masks has been introduced.
