Arichavank Monastery

Harichavank Monastery is located on the western slope of Mount Aragats and, judging by experts, its foundation occurred in the 7th century. Then, in the 13th century, the church and vestibule of the monastery complex were erected, and in the 19th century the monastery became the summer residence of the Armenian Catholicoses.

However, special attention should be paid to the small sacristy, which is located not far from the monastery complex. As a result of the earthquake, a piece of rock along with the chapel was separated from the rocky cape and has remained in a tilted state to this day.
